I-Corps: Energy and Transportation

I-Corps™ Energy and Transportation is a commercialization training program for university, national lab researchers, and early-stage technology developers designed as a springboard for moving new ideas out of the lab and into the market.

NextEnergy and the University of Michigan Center for Entrepreneurship will be hosting the program – bringing world-class teachers, industry and investor partners, and an extensive entrepreneurial network to your fingertips.

Participating teams will receive :

  • Skills that will increase their probability of winning grant applications, finding funding, licensing, and company creation
  • In-depth exposure and networking to industry, investors, and the federal government, including:
    • GM Ventures, The Department of Energy, Ford Motor Company, DTE Energy, Dow Corning, and more (click here to view the full list)
  • Mastery of the customer discovery process
